Altra redesigned the Rivera to have a slimmed-down profile and a more breathable upper. The fit hugs your midfoot and heel but still leaves room for you to wiggle your toes thanks to Altra’s signature FootShaped toe box. The new mesh is lighter, more breathable and more flexible. It also features reflective stripes on the toe box and heel for added visibility. Plus, Altra re-engineered the heel collar padding for more comfort.

I work as a ER nurse and Altra came recommended by a friend of mine. the Rivera gives me much needed arch support and comfort all day long. the toe box keeps me supported but gives the room in need. breathable so my feet don't sweat. and they don't squeak on the floor as many shoes do.

Great shoes!
These shoes are the only ones my son can run in because of previous for issues. They always come through for him in comfort and support. He is a cross country and track runner so he logs many many miles. So we have become repeat customers for the Altra Rivera!
