Midsole: The Fresh Foam X midsole foam provides an incredible comfort underfoot with a firmer foam on the bottom to give it inherent stability. EVA stability technology helps reduce overpronation, perfect for those with flexible arches.
Outsole: New Balance updated the outsole of the Vongo v6 with vertical flex grooves to give it more stability and provide a better toe-off experience.

The New Balance BB 550 White Silver Birch is completely redone to give you the latest in New Balance technology. The foam is a dual layer system, with a softer underfoot feel and a firmer bottom foam to give the shoe some inherent stability. New Balance put more of its soft Fresh Foam X underfoot to give you more cushion, affixed a third shape and changed the heel to toe drop to 6mm to give you a smoother ride.

New Balance gave the shoe guidance and stability by adding a EVA Film stability technology that slows pronation without compromising the cushion. The outsole has vertical flex grooves as opposed to the previous horizontal orientation to give you more stability and forefoot stiffness for better toe-offs. Finally, the new engineered mesh upper has an improved fit and reflective details to keep you visible.
