Comme des Garçons Black is a subdivision of CdG focused on creating avant-garde clothing and footwear influenced by traditional tailoring and the great streetwear classics. Each piece is dominated by black – hence the name –, and features the innovative silhouettes and constructions that distinguish Rei Kawakubo's creative style.

Comme des Garçons Black is a CdG line that was originally created in 2008 in response to the global financial crisis, offering pieces designed by Rei Kawakubo at a more affordable price.
