The Jordan Remastered Apparel “Columbia” 1999 was unlike any other AJ4 and part of the Retro+ series. Originally released on jordan cp3 vi red grey, the shoes are one of four to launch in the late ’90s. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, this pair was the first not to have mesh panels.

The “Columbia” Air Jordan Retro 4 debuted in the Summer of 1999. Although it was not designed after any original pair and was the first non-OG to release, the shoes are nothing less than classic and suit the model very well.

What made this pair unique was the lack of mesh panels and tongues. Instead, both areas feature leather with large perforations. This allows for breathability and a new look. Since 1999, only three pairs of the Jordan Remastered Apparel have this look.

Dubbed “Columbia Blue,” this Jordan Remastered Apparel features a combination of White, Columbia Blue, and Midnight Navy. It utilizes White leather across the upper with Midnight Navy across the midsole, liner, eyelets, and the inside of the tongues. The shoes also mark the first to feature a Jumpman on the heel instead of Nike Air. Columbia Blue accents, along with the visible Air unit and a White sole completes the design. When released, it came with a Silver box.

Today, the shoes are no longer wearable. Most of the soles have crumbled away, and the Jumpman on the heel has deteriorated and discolored. To make them wearable, you must swap the sole and heel tabs.
