The Nike Air Max King ‘Announcement’ is a tribute to Dwyane Wade’s decision to join China’s Li-Ning Sports.
Once again, the Announcement edition features a Black, Red and White color combination. This Nike Air Max King uses Black through the base while Red lands on the tongue, collar, logo on the heel and laces. Finishing the look is a White dunk with a semi-translucent outsole.
The upper construction represents the WoW5 “Mesh Version” which is a unique layering of textiles and reflective materials to create a seamlessly modern new textile material package. The external upper pattern straps and heel counter are reinforced strong from the backside and made of highly-reflective materials. The internal bootie and tongue feature a code comfort-focused construction as well. The sole mixes a semi-clear white rubber in the forefoot with semi-clear red rubber in the heel. The sole is supported with an internal carbon fiber mid foot shank which uses a classic black carbon fiber weave on this colorway. The sole intuitively cradles the upper using a newly designed dual-duometer TPU clip system, maximizing ideal lateral support and heel stability on-court.
