Sneaker Room is gearing up for our 4th passion project addition of the jordan nike Kyrie Irving “Mom” collection which is on the Nike Kyrie 7. This year’s release is unlike the others in the past. When brainstorming about all the things that bond us together, our creation, and lives so many things were called out to the Sneaker Room team. Wanting to tell the heartbreaking story of Suraj Kaufman, Sneaker Room owner, and Kyrie Irving both losing their mothers, but also wanting to honor all mothers, including mother nature and mother earth.
The Nike Kyrie 7 ‘Mom’ highlights the 4 elements; land, fire, water, and air. The Green/Yellow pair was made in 1996 pairs to represent the year of Elizabeth Irving’s passing, and the Blue/Orange pair was made in 525 pairs representing the date that Ellen Kaufman passed away. For extra details, you’ll see the Sneaker Room Foundation logo and the signature Mom logo on the lace tips, along with additional color laces. You can spot the same heart resemblance from the past collabs on the swoosh. Special messaging inside each shoe and even a place for you to fill in the blank “In Honor of” on the back heel of the sneakers!
The collaboration between jordan nike, Kyrie Irving, and Sneaker Room has become a charitable movement. With the release, 100% of the proceeds are being donated. In the past, this collaboration has funded many Sneaker Room Foundation projects to make an impact in the community. Funding after-school and summer programs, purchasing Giraffe Incubator Carestations for the Jersey City Medical Center newborn intensive care unit, creating a Food Pharmacy for the food insecure, and many projects with the Boys and Girls Club of Hudson County just to name a few, with over half a million raised and donated. Purchasing these sneakers is more than sneaker culture, sports, and fashion, it is also a way to help the Sneaker Room Foundation “Change the world one sole at a time.”
