We’ve been waiting on official release information for the adidas Yung-1 for months now but finally its release date has been confirmed.
The Yung-1 is adidas’ latest sneaker for the on-trend “dad shoe” craze and the brand has more bulky shoes like the Yung Chasm coming. According to adidas, the Yung-1 is inspired by sportswear fashion of the early 2000s.
Interestingly, the color scheme of this latest Yung-1 (which is live on adidas.com) resembles the get-up of an iconic Dragon Ball Z character, Goku. In the show, Goku wears an orange gi with a blue undergarment that posed as weighted clothing for training purposes. He tied his gi with a blue belt wrapped around the waist and a pair of blue weighted boots for fighting. It is difficult not to make the connection as leaks of an adidas x Dragon Ball Z collection adidas coat mens sale sneakers for women.
According to the brand, the adidas Yung-1 features a mesh upper with some nubuck overlays. The shoe uses a traditional lace closure, opts for a wide fit, and rides atop a sculpted lightweight EVA midsole. adidas’ stabilizing Torsion system should offer some support.
The adidas Yung-1 is set to release on June 21 at 10 AM ET for $120 at adidas.com. Two colorways will be available — Hi-Res Orange/Shock Yellow and Chalk White/Core Black/Collegiate Navy — with more coming fast.
