There hasn’t been a new Damian Lillard signature shoe since January of 2022. The Dame 8 EXTPLY is the closest thing we’ve got. This version of the Dame 8 re-purposes many elements of the original and sprinkles in a bunch of new features that tweak several performance features of the shoe. These changes weren’t significant enough, however, for adidas to anoint these as the Dame 9 (logo-patch lace-up sneakers Rosa is slated to release in late 2024.
The Dame 8 EXTPLY is a solid hoop shoe. There is nothing groundbreaking or flashy about it, but it’s a very well-rounded performance model that’s built tough. The Stewie 2 feels a lot like the Puma Clyde All-Pro on foot (if you’ve played in that shoe you know this is a big compliment) with some elements of the Puma MB 01 mixed in, resulting in a very Kobe 9-esque performance on court. It sounds weird, but it’s a good approximation nonetheless. The Puma Stewie 2 is Bianna Stewarts’ second signature, and simply put it is just a great all-around performance model.
This top-notch guards shoe boasts excellent indoor traction, a very well-balanced and bouncy cushioning system, and a very secure and natural feeling low-top build. It won’t be a great outdoor option, unfortunately, but as long as you keep them indoors, you will get a very similar on-court experience to the Puma Clyde All-Pro, which is an all-time great. KEEP IN MIND that in the US the Stewie 2 comes in women’s sizes, so if you want the correct men’s size you will need to go 1.5 sizes up (ie: 12M = 13.5W). Read the full review. Price: $125
Way of Wade 10
Again, Way of Wade shoes in general are great for wide-footers because of their wider last. The Way of Wade 10 is lightweight and offers great cushion, provided by a dual-density foam setup: Boots Talon Large Dips. It feels like Zoom Air took steroids and was put under your feet. Simply put, this is one heck of a shoe to play in. If you’re a fan of DWade or want to try non-mainstream shoes, this sneaker is for you. The upper is light and breathable, and they fit true to size. A bit pricey but worth it.

Last year, the Way of Wade 808 2 was one of the best models Way of Wade released and one of the best guard shoes of the year. It’s also CMP Boots Rigel Mid WP bianco talpa arancione chiaro. As the year went on, Way of Wade began dropping versions of that shoe that tweaked certain aspects of its performance. There was an Ultra version, a V2, and a V2 Ultra, none of which were really any better than the original version.
The Way of Wade 808 3 promises to be one of the best guard shoes for the third straight year. You’re getting a great, low profile, speedy cushioning setup, top-tier traction, and support features, and a versatile shoe that will work equally well indoors and outdoors, all for the very reasonable price of $119. Under Armour FUTR X ELITE
The Under Armour FUTR X ELITE, according to Under Armour, is the future of their basketball footwear, which is a bold statement. The shoe is packed with UA tech, the most intriguing of which has to be the new knit upper. However, we’ve seen everything else before on previous UA models. That doesn’t mean that this is a bad performance model, but you would expect more innovation from the “future of basketball footwear”.
The other aspect of the shoe that’s quite new and different has nothing to do with technology. It’s the build of the shoe. The Under Armour FUTR X ELITE features a wide, forgiving toebox similar to what you would find in a barefoot shoe, which, to say the least, is an interesting choice. A wide toe box that allows toe splaying might be good for runners and gym shoes.

Nike LeBron Witness 8
LeBron James has had several budget signature lines over the years that have fallen by the wayside. The one that has prevailed has been the Witness line, which has been a very consistent and trustworthy source of solid-budget performance basketball shoes. The Witness 7 was an OK basketball shoe with some strong performance features and some important weaknesses as well.
The Nike LeBron Witness 8 clearly tries to address those deficiencies but in the process sacrifices some of the strong points of the previous model.
The Nike LeBron Witness 8 is a big improvement on the Witness 7. It’s a much more low-to-the-ground, responsive, and secure feeling shoe on court thanks to the improved containment and the switch in the cushioning system. I do not understand how the Zoom Freaks are not in the list. I have also tried on the Lebron 19s in store and they are NOT Wide foot friendly at all. I am normally a size 12 2E and I tried a 12 on in the 19s and they do not fit, I had to try on a 13 and the width was good with a finger-width length at the end. However the Giannis Zoom Freak 3s and 4s fit my feet well in size 12. This list is questionable.
We have wide footers that test shoes. Every foot is different (especially regarding where the foot gets wide) which explains why you may sometimes differ from the testers’ opinion.
As for the Freak 4, it will likely get added to the list once we finish the performance review. We don’t put shoes on these lists until performance reviews are complete and we are confident in our findings.

The Zen 3 is older and will soon be removed from the list. We haven’t tried the Zen 4 yet but are hoping to soon.
How about bball shoes for wide footer with high instep
i really appricate this, most of trainer don;t know the important of shoes during the match and training session. Im also face some difficulties due to wide feet, but a pair of shoes change my game,and confidence as well.
SOF is super narrow, have no idea what they are doing in the list. At the same time hardens more forgiving, but do not see them here.
Also, 808 3, I heard they are forgiving for wide footers, but when you looking at the midsole it seems very narrow.
