Converse has re-entered the performance basketball market and they’re not messing around.
The heritage brand’s next shoe will be an updated version of the 1988 Converse ERX. Dubbed the Converse ERX G4, this version updates its materials with lightweight synthetics and textiles. Tooling has been updated while nero a lot of its design with a Phylon midsole featuring Zoom Air and React cushioning.
It’s unclear at this point if the Zoom Air and React combo are full-length as it was in the Nike KD 11, but we’ll be sure to update you once official information, including a release date and pricing, are unveiled.

Nike needs to get Kuzma and Jason Tatum on the Converse side as the faces of the relaunch into basketball line.
I’m interested. I like the All Star Pro BB a little better, but these could be just as comicality.
I like where theyre going with this. So far, tho, react has been a waste in basketball shoes, except for in the drop in midsoles. We have to feel it. Hopefully this isnt caged as much and has a softer strobel board than the other react ball shoes.
If not, then whats the point of using it, itll just feel like phylon. The hyperdunk 2017 had everything going for it except its hugely hyped cushion(remember those ridiculous press events?) was dead on arrival.
If done right, it could be Converse’s comeback, if not, it’ll be a problem.
