With Jordan Brand’s Chinese New Year pack set to release in China, we are here to give you a detailed look at the latest Air Jordan 12 Retros.
The pack is meant to celebrate traditional Chinese crafts. The Men’s Air Jordan 12 Retro showcases a familiar design that comes from it’s 1997 original — the one with the ‘Taxi’ namesake. While it looks similar, the shoe features intricate braided bamboo-like patterns along the mudguard. The GS colorway features a beige upper and the same detailing on the mudguard. The sells features hints of translucency at the heel and forefoot. The tongue and the sockliners flaunt Chinese characters but there seems to be no direct connection to the Year of the Rooster (2017).
According to J23 App, these shoes will release Stateside on January 28; the men’s pair is set at $250 while women’s pair is TBD. Do you think that Jordan Brand paid homage tastefully with it’s design? Will the elevated price tags keep you from purchasing a pair? Let us know what you think down in the comments.
