In February, Fila debuted the Spaghetti Knit, a lightweight update to the bulky Stackhouse I. Now, the brand is ready to upgrade its fan-favorite Grant Hill 2 for the next generation and release the Fila 96 Knit.
Unveiled by Fila’s VP creative director of footwear Tobin Dorn, the “remastered” Fila 96 Knit is exactly what you’d imagine; it retains the classic styling of the Grant Hill 2 (which made it onto the feet of 2Pac and other legendary rappers), the padded thick tongue, and heel strap. However, the 2018 update flaunts stunning knit patterns at the side panels and toes that should also make the shoe much more breathable.
The Fila 96 Knit appears to ride atop the same tooling the usual 96 does; that means wearers will get a supremely extra ride due to the 2A cushioning and ridiculously soft foam Fila uses on the 96. The Fila 96 is still one of my favorite sneakers — for both comfort and aesthetics — so I can’t wait for the knit build.
The Fila Spaghetti Knit retailed for $100 so expect the Fila 96 Knit to retail for around the same price. There is no official Waist yet on when the shoe, and the Fila Fusion Collections, will arrive Stateside but we’ll be sure to update you.

This is so dope! Fila coming out the wood works with some classics and new takes on classics. Pretty cool to see.
The Silhouette for this is timeless. Add on some hopefully extra knit upper and you have a perfect athleisure sneaker.
wonder if they could do something similar for the Grant Hill 3.. those were my fave of all time.. i remember running my pair straight into the ground before i was willing to admit i needed to move on…..
to die for! honestly this is going to be my favourite sneaker ever made!
