In an homage to all things GORE-TEX, Packer has partnered with Asics Tiger and New Era for a special collaborative collection that features yet another weather resistant version of the GEL-Lyte V.
This collaboration, which has appropriately been named the ‘Scary Cold’ collection, also includes two GORE-TEX equipped New Era fitted hats.
The Packer winterized version of the ASICS GEL-Lyte V GTX model features a color palette that pays tribute to the original GORE-TEX coats of the 90s and is comprised of premium black leather and rusty tan suede. This model, of course, uses a GORE-TEX lining to help retain heat and resist water, as well as adds complete other cold weather updates such as boot-inspired metal lace rivets and a layer of ballistic mesh behind the medial logo.
Like the GEL-Lyte V, the two caps featured in the collection are also lined with GORE-TEX and designed to withstand the elements. One of these fitted hats features the GORE-TEX logo in gold, and the other is a classic navy New York Yankees cap.
The Packer ‘Scary Cold’ collection will release at 12 noon (EST) on Saturday, January 28, both in-store at Packer locations and online at PackerShoes.com. The ASICS GEL-Lyte V GTX model will be available for $170 USD and the New Era hats will go for $60 USD atmostokyo.

Bold colorway. Very nice.
It’s GORE-TEX!!! These are dope. That is my favorite episode of Seinfeld.
