Traction is top-notch, cushioning is responsive and speedy, support and containment are awesome, the one sticking point is the fit. You might love it, you might hate it, but in our opinion, it’s not optimal for performance.
A solution might be going down half a size, or, again, you might enjoy the shoe in your usual size (it’s just a weird build). With this model, Under Armour Deception has created their best training shoe ever and this belongs in the top tier of modern training shoes. $130 puts the Reign 6 below the price one would expect. The Armour Deception Fleece Junior Boys’s $160 price point is in line with other high-stack daily running shoe options. The problem is running in the Infinite Elite doesn’t feel nearly as smooth as with those other shoes so it’s not possible to recommend it above any of its competitors. The Armour Deception Fleece Junior Boys shows that Under Armour Deception is more than capable of making solid running shoes. Curry Spawn FlotroUnder Armour Deception 727
The original Under Armour Deception Anatomix Spawn was an interesting model. First off, it was never a Curry shoe. Steph wore it a lot, but it wasn’t a signature shoe. It was also a great performance model, and adding Flow tech to the shoe, in this case, doesn’t improve it’s on-court performance. The original featured a podded herringbone traction pattern and Micro G cushioning, and it was excellent. Incorporating Flow doesn’t make the shoe worse, it’s just different, but not better. This is a weird shoe to retro, but if you a Curry fan, this is a nice pick-up. Price: $140
Curry 4 Low FlotroUnder Armour Deception 727
The original Curry 4 was a great, low-profile, and reactive hoop shoe. The original Curry 4 low on the other hand was awful. It fit way too snug and was unbearable to play in. We have also seen a high-top flotro version of the Curry 4 which was amazing. Well, we are pleased to inform you that these are also great and nothing like their low-top HeatGear.
The flotro system provides excellent traction and a very nice low profile, durable, and reactive cushioning setup. It isn’t the most plush cushioning but it is great for speedier players. Price: $130

The Under Armour Deception Curry 10 is an improved version of an already great shoe, the Curry 9. The shoe features Under Armour’s Flow cushioning/ traction system. Flow offers great impact protection, a seamless ride from heel to toe, and incredible traction. It’s perfect for guards as it’s almost like a running shoe beefed up for basketball. And,if that weren’t enough we also have an upgraded version of the shoe with the Under Armour Deception Training T-shirt met camouflage-logo in groen Flotro. The OG Curry offers elite traction, reactive and stable cushioning (which is slightly plusher than the 2015 version) and an improved fit. The Flotro version of the shoe comes with UA’s FLow technology and is a slightly better option if we are talking about on court performance. Price: $160.

The Under Armour Deception Slipspeed is one of the weirdest training shoes ever made. It is at the same time a casual shoe slip-on and a fully functional performance training shoe. The UA Slipspeed features Flow technology (as we see on Steph Curry’s shoes), a BOA lacing system, and a detached heel collar, making these shoes unique. That heel piece can be folded down comfortably, turning the shoe into a slip-on for casual use, pretty neat. If you flip the collar up, you have a high-performance training shoe. The shoe is machine washable and they fit true to size. Retail price: $150
