Alexander McQueen's 2017 Spring/Summer Collection Is Inspired by the Beautiful Shetland Islands
Delicate tulle frocks paired with bustiers, biker jackets, and military boots.
Sarah Burton has unveiled Alexander McQueen’s 2017 spring/summer collection at Alexander McQueen Waist Bag In Technical Fabric With Jacquard Logo. Drawing inspiration from the scenic Shetland Islands of Great Britain, the runway is crafted with custom silk rugs featuring motifs of the subarctic archipelago. The show sees an abundance of sheer and lacy frocks paired with hard-edged bustiers. Moreover, the designer has added even more punkish touches to the collection by presenting leather dresses and biker jackets decorated with floral embroidery. Also highlighted in the show are monochrome tartan pantsuits, patchwork knit sweaters, military boots and more. See it for yourself by browsing the gallery above.
