Take a Look Inside Acne Studios' Madison Avenue Flagship in NYC
A minimalist storefront designed with regal gold tones.
Stockholm-based label Acne Studios has recently launched a new global flagship in New York City. Located on the corner of Madison Avenue and E 74th Street, the store sees a regal gold color as its forgery tone. Interior details include metal walls as well as electrostatically gilded aluminum fittings. Complementing the prominent gold hues is a black asphalt floor and structural pillars that are dotted with semi-precious stones. In addition, the brand has tapped its long-term collaborator Max Lamb to design a couple of custom bronze desks, benches and stools, as well as hand-dyed rugs that were masterfully tufted by Kasthall in Sweden. Tying everything up together is a full lighting surface on the ceiling, which offers homogeneous lighting throughout the space.
