We’re talking about getting 8,000 people safely home.
Black Friday is just around the corner. While some of us cannot wait to take advantage of the craziest deals of the year, Everlane hopes to do something good out of its Black Friday sales. During the same time last year, the online retailer created a wellness program for its factory workers in Los Angeles. Now, the brand is bringing its Black Friday fund to Vietnam, where 8,000 of its employees work at its Ho Chi Minh City factory.
In Vietnam, about 35 million people commute by moped every day. However, less than 20% of that population uses good quality helmets, leading to an average of 85 road accidents per day. Everlane proposes to use profits from its Black Friday sales this year to purchase safe helmets for every single one of its worker in Vietnam. With customers’ support, the brand is hoping to meet its goal of $117,760 USD. Watch the video above to learn more about the campaign.
