A Look at the Metropolitan Museum of Art's "Manus x Machina" Exhibit

Hours ahead of the Met Gala.

Tonight (May 7) the Metropolitan Museum of Art will host its Met Gala affair, seeing attendees attempt to put their most fashionable foot forward for the annual fundraising event that benefits the Costume Institute. “Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology” is the name of the theme and new exhibit that highlights futuristic design both in look and actual production. Head Curator Andrew Bolton presents a peek above, which includes elaborate couture and ready-to-wear pieces from Iris van Herpen, Alexander McQueen, Karl Lagerfeld and more.
