'Scream Queens' Season 2 Promises to Be as B*tchy as Ever
The remaining Chanels will be joined by John Stamos and Taylor Lautner this season.
Comedy fans will recognize Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan as the masterminds behind the runaway hit Glee. What some may not be aware of, however, is that Murphy and Falchuk are also the twisted creators behind the award-winning FX scare fest American Horror Story. As a delightful middle ground between the campy tone of Glee and the cringe-worthy terrors of AHS, the trio introduced Scream Queens back in September 2015. Praised for its off-kilter humor and over-the-top storylines, the series is a hilariously exaggerated take on sorority life while incorporating a classic murder mystery into the mix.
For its latest season 2 trailer, we see the girls of Kappa Tau leaving the halls of Wallace University for a medical institution instead. Within the new setting, the remaining Chanels and Zayday will begin their training as physicians in a hospital recently acquired by none other than former Dean Cathy Munsch (Jamie Lee Curtis). Joining the cast this season is secretive head surgeon Dr. Brock Holt (John Stamos) and Dr. Cassidy Cascade (Taylor Lautner), who apparently suffers from a strange medical condition. Of course, curious things begin taking place around the hospital and the Chanels can’t help but be sucked into the new mystery. You can watch the new trailer above in all of its campy glory. Scream Queens Reminiscent of falling leaves and Halloween pumpkins.
