Is Barb from 'Stranger Things' Really Dead?
The Duffer Brothers think they have made it very clear.
While we are secretly wishing that Barb will magically reappear in the second season of Stranger Things, the creators of the show have recently confirmed that the character is really, really gone. During a live panel held at Samsung 837 in NYC, the Duffer Brothers discussed the fate of the much-loved character. As Matt Duffer explains:
Is Barb dead? I mean, yes ― yes, she’s dead. I thought we were pretty clear about that. There’s a slug hanging out of her mouth ― out of her dead corpse. And then if you were still confused, [Chief Jim] Hopper finds her in the nest, also very dead.
The other half of the creative duo, Ross Duffer, has added: “So if you are holding out hope that she is still alive, that’s just wishful thinking.” The directors have also revealed that the second season will take place a year after the events of the first season.
