VFILES Threw a You-Had-to-Be-There Party for Runway Season 7
On the scene and backstage with Young Thug, Justine Skye, Jordyn Woods and more.
If it’s VFILES, it’s — for lack of a better word — guaranteed to be lit. Such was the case with the boutique slash creative-focused social networking platform’s Runway Season 7. Five budding designers — Ground Zero, Rushemy Botter, Sanchez-Kane, Song Seoyoon and Alessandro Trincone — were selected to showcase their collections to a lively crowd in Spring Studios that provided a Thursday night party vibe.
A set from A-Trak and performances by Playboi Carti and Brooklyn-based metal band Waffle NYC offered the pre- and post-show turn-ups after we headed backstage. As to be expected with any major NYFW event, the BTS prep was chaotic yet controlled. Attendees shared the same energy once entering the space — peep the likes of Justine Skye, Jordyn Woods and Young Thug — who got on the catwalk to fix one model’s collar at one moment before whipping out an iPad to capture and cheer on Trincone, the designer behind his JEFFERY album art.
