You’ve played DJ sets in various major clubs in Seoul, including the likes of Octagon and Club Madholic. How would you describe the club scene of your hometown?
Seoul’s club scene has developed so much. When I first got into DJing, I started as a vinyl hip-hop DJ and performed sets in different places in Hong-Dae area and Itaewon. As I’ve gradually developed a fan base, I began DJing in hip-hop zones in famous Gangnam clubs. I recommend trying out different areas and experiencing the unique vibes of each neighborhood.
Feb 22, 2023?
I’ve been listening to hip-hop since middle school. This genre of music always gets me in a good mood. I used to dream of becoming a music therapist, but eventually my fondness for hip-hop got me into DJing. It wasn’t until I’ve DJed for 3 years that I fully committed to this hobby. I’ve recently got into EDM and have been working on several EDM remixes as well as trap and twerk tracks.
As one of Asia’s most beloved DJs, you’ve garnered an impressive following of over 1.4 million followers on Instagram. Would you say that social media plays a significant part in your daily life?
Of course. I am very grateful to each and every fan who supports me online. Whenever I travel to other places, I’d create a tour video capturing moments of myself wearing the traditional attire, eating the local food and visiting the attractions of the country. I have received hundreds of offers to post things on my social media accounts for a ton of money, but I always reject them. I don’t want to exploit my fans. I believe in being a positive influence and I want to use my following to help causes through social media.
Apart from music, you also like to experiment with fashion. Can you tell us a little bit about your personal style?
I have always been obsessed with hip-hop. Naturally, I was drawn into street fashion, the Jordan culture and everything else related to the genre. I like pairing different streetwear pieces with leggings. Whenever I wear my Jordan’s while I spin, it always makes me feel like I’m the queen of hip-hop.
What are some of your favorite ways to style denim pieces? Where do you usually shop for them?
Although I am based in South Korea, I spend most of my time in various countries for tours. Therefore, I usually shop at random stores recommended to me by friends all around the world. I think denims look the best with a simple, white T-shirt or a tank top. A pair of baggy, ripped jeans would look great with a white tank.
Lightweight coverage that’ll leave you with a glowing visage?
Good luck, makeup junkies.
Huge baggy pants ripped all the way from the thigh to below the knee?
I’m currently obsessed with Supreme, BAPE and UNDEFEATED.
What are your secrets to achieving that perfect, flawless skin? Do you stick to a strict skincare regimen?
I don’t really have a skincare routine that is special in any way. I think it has to do with my lifestyle — I do not drink or smoke, and I always eat healthy.
Dim all of the lights&hellip?
Downtime is very precious to me. I rarely get any time to think about nothing or to relax. When I do, I’d usually go for a massage, watch a movie while pigging out on junk food, or dig for music.
