Netflix Is Set to Produce Its First-Ever Original Korean Series, 'Love Alarm'
The K-pop wave has landed on the streaming platform.
A Netflix original Korean series is currently in the works. As reported by Dazed, the streaming giant recently commissioned its first-ever live action Korean series based on Kye Young Chon’s popular online comic strip, Love Alarm. Comprised of 12 episodes in total, the upcoming drama will center around a dating app that allow users to track potential lovers within 10 metres. According to the show’s synopsis, said app “greatly disrupts society.” As the show’s producer Jaemoon Lee explains,
We want Love Alarm, the TV series, to exhibit the liveliness and expression of emotions, with visual treatments that will reflect Ms Chon’s vision when she created the story.
