Calvin Klein Heads to the Beach in SSENSE's Latest Editorial
“If you washed ashore tomorrow, where would you be?”
SSENSE‘s latest editorial explores Raf Simon‘s debut for Calvin Klein, and how his design and aesthetic is defined.
In a series of melancholic photographs by the beach, the relationship between wet and dry is investigated, all while putting a focus on the Calvin Klein clothes worn by the models. A yellow fur jacket covered in water and a knitted top swaying in the wind, this editorial shows us the gorgeous garments we love in whole new light. The editorial also features images of the models in black and white, putting focus on the neatly tailored trousers and Gorra we saw on the runway. After debuting the Spring/Summer 2018 collection at Calvin Klein logo-print tote bag, Raf Simons has showed his talent as a designer by revamping the classic American brand by creating raw-cut new and exciting that is still connected to its roots.
