Inspired by the archives.
Burberry has quickly become one of the most popular brands in the industry. We’ve seen the brand take a new turn, collaborating with Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskiy, tapping model Adwoa Aboah for a campaign, as well as giving the iconic check pattern a rainbow addition as a nod to the LGBTQ+ community. There’s no doubt that Burberry has returned, and now the iconic British label has taken its most classic piece – the trench coat – and given it a modern update.
The new collection of Heritage Trench Coats features three different fits: the Chelsea, the Kensington and the Wesminster, two lengths and a total of five colors. Inspired by Burberry’s vast archives, the piece has been updated with modern details and new, timeless hues. Alongside the launch, the label has also collaborated with five different stylists to interpret the trench coat in their own way by styling and pairing it according to their creative vision. Lensed by Thurstan Redding, the lookbook captures the new pieces in a timeless way, that reflects the current trends that will still be relevant many years from now. Each coat is lined with Burberry’s iconic Vintage Check print, in hues of beige, white, black and red and is made from weatherproof gabardine.
The new Heritage Collection is available online at Burberry as well as in store from April 4. For more Burberry, see the British label’s latest checkered pouch here.
