Gucci, Supreme & Training adidas Are Among the Most-Loved Brands of Generation Z
Teens picked their favorites in a new survey.
A recent survey conducted by investment bank and asset management firm Piper Jaffray seems to suggest that teenagers are embracing the streetwear trend. According to adidas Originals 84lab Rod Laver, clothing and footwear companies that have adopted a “street” aesthetic are among some of the most-loved brands of the 6,000 U.S. teens interviewed, who has an average age of 16 years old.
In particular, Nike is at the top of both the footwear and clothing brands lists, with 42-percent of young consumers selecting it as their preferred shoe label and 23-percent choosing it as their favorite apparel brand. Among those whose average household income was about $100,000 USD, adidas and Supreme both landed a spot within the top 10. Notably, Vans rose from being a brand preferred by only 9-percent of teens last year to 16-percent in the Spring 2018 Training adidas Athly V 3-Stripes Swimsuit Womens ’90s revival is going strong in fashion, with brands like Champion and Tommy Hilfiger gaining popularity among Generation Z.
In terms of bags, Coach, which has tapped singer and actress Selena Gomez as its ambassador, comes third place on the top handbag brands list. Storied luxury fashion houses Gucci and Louis Vuitton, which both have been tapping into the streetwear market in the past year or so, rounded off the top five.
