Your First Look at Longchamp by Shayne Oliver
The iconic Le Pliage® tote reimagined.
Recently appointed Helmut Lang designer Shayne Oliver The Creative Come Up Longchamp. Based on the concept of travel and movement, Oliver has captured the classic craftsmanship and elegance of the label and combined with his own distinct streetwear aesthetic, resulting in an eye-catching capsule collection including leather goods, footwear and ready-to-wear.
For the collection, Shayne Oliver has reimagined Longchamp’s iconic Le Pliage® tote bag into new and exciting silhouettes, including a bomber-style jacket crafted from the bags, taking the shape and applying it to create over-sized sleeves that are eye-catching and unconventional in true Shayne Oliver fashion. The tote bags gets several makeovers, including pieces emblazoned with black prints like “REALNESS” and “HIATUS,” as well as reimagined backpacks and mini bags. Coming in palette of pink, red, black and white, the collection is minimal with focus on the elevated silhouettes of the limited capsule. “I really like the simplicity of working with brands that are masters of their craft,” said Oliver about the exciting collaboration. “Longchamp has a prestigious history of providing luxury travel essentials with expert craftsmanship. It made total sense to work with them on my first all accessories project,” referring to the Le Pliage® pieces.
The Longchamp by Shayne Oliver collection is set to launch on May 4 at Longchamp stores in the U.S. as well as online, and will roll out internationally sometime in early May.
