Learn more about our X-Girl introduces its first-ever skate collection created just for women. Titled “#1,” the range is directly inspired by women’s empowerment which founder Kim Gordon has looked to since creating the label in 1994. In the editorial imagery, New York City-based all-women skate crew, Share this article dons the collection.
The capsule includes bold patterns like all-over flower prints and flame graphics. The designs focus on button-down shirts, T-shirts, jumpsuits and everyday accessories. Making up the entire compilation of pieces are three different collections: “Flare,” “Flight” and “Romeo Flower.” Many of the items were constructed with skating in mind. Pulling from men’s skating silhouettes led to the creation of expertly crafted feminine iterations. Staples which stand out amongst the range are the purple pants with zipper detailing and the orange jersey top with a v-neck. Lastly, the accessories which round out the items, arrive in the form of backpacks, a fanny pack, a hat and a skateboard featuring a large print of Chloë Sevigny.
