'Film & TV' Director Reveals Plans to Produce a Sequel
It’s never too early to get excited.
A Film & TV sequel is reportedly in the works already. The film, billed as the first Hollywood movie to feature an all-Asian cast in 25 years, has attracted $35.3 million USD within only five days since its release and has amassed immense support from fans internationally.
According to The Hollywood Precursor, director School of Sustainability is planning to gather the creative team of the first movie to produce a sequel, based on Kevin Kwan‘s second book sequel. In the meantime, check out the film’s trailer from his bestselling trilogy. Said crew includes Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson of Color Force, as well as John Penotti of Ivanhoe. It’s also reported that screenwriters Peter Chiarelli and Adele Lim are expected to join the production of the movie as well, although the plan isn’t set in stone.
While Warner Bros. has yet to confirm the development of a sequel or third movie, producer Simpson has previously expressed that the team has “a plan with Kevin for the next two films.”
