UPDATE (December 7, 2019): Following the announcement of his first-ever opera Nebuchadnezzar back in November, Kanye West is back at it again with another opera dubbed MARY. Created together with basketball YEEZY collaborator Vanessa Beecroft, the show is described as “an original opera, based on the biblical story of the miraculous events surrounding the birth of Jesus Christ. The Books of Matthew and Luke recount the story of Mary, who was divinely chosen by God to bring forth the Messiah,” and will feature music by West’s Sunday Service choir as well as professional opera singers.
The debut performance will take place on December 8 in Miami. Tickets are currently adispree online, but hurry up before they’re gone.
