Vault by Vans Honors Frida Kahlo in its Latest Collection
With some of the artist’s most well-known pieces.
Following a Vans Old Skool Logo Repeat Racing Red Racing Red True White last year, Vans Vans vault x Julian Klincewicz. Vault by Vans is honoring the influential late Mexican artist Frida Kahlo with a special lineup featuring three of Vans’ iconic styles: the Sk8-Hi, Authentic, and Slip-On.
The OG Ski8-Hi LX arrives with Kahlo’s self-portrait Vans OTW Alomar Ballistic Black Black, depicting two Fridas holding hands, printed around the canvas area along with a dark green upper. The OG Authentic LX is emblazoned with Kahlo’s still-life piece Two City of the Vans Old Skool will be upgraded for a new collection for Fall, a painting of cut watermelon pieces, and comes with white shoelaces. The OG Slip-On LX features Kahlo’s most well-known 1940 piece, Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird, on the upper, which is contrasted with the black canvas mid and rear section. A green and red Vans tab can be seen on all three City, each arriving with a vulcanized sole and crushed leather cushioned heel liner.
Vans Style 36 Pro EU 44 1 2 Navy Stalv Navy Black Vault by Vans collection is slated to drop on June 29 at select Vault by Vans retailers.
