Clothes, cafés and much more – all under one roof
No flower power.
Created by esteemed perfumer Jérôme Di Marino and inspired by the recently departed Artistic Directors Reminiscent of its popular “Blush” silhouette KENZO has arrived. Entitled KENZO WORLD POWER, the Eau de Parfum features some unexpected and intentionally contrasting scents, including crystalline sea salt, (to give it an edgy feminine appeal) and tonka bean, which carries a fiery, sensual aroma.
Di Marino says the use of unusual ingredients was a deliberate attempt to subvert preconceptions about feminine fragrances. “It’s a fragrance without flowers. A reinvented femininity without florality. Quite a new concept in perfumery,” he says. “I wanted this fragrance to reflect the values of ‘Gen We’. Optimistic, pluralistic, real: without filter!”
The bottle design is equally unconventional and inspired by KENZO’s wider fashion collection. Taking the form of an eye, it has textured effects and a cap that becomes transparent, similar to the details seen in this season’s collections of bags and accessories. As an added homage, the silver drop beads recall the buttons found in the latest range of KENZO jeans and bombers.
