A First Look at JW Anderson x Uniqlo's FW19 Collection
The co-branded range will release this October.
JW Anderson and Uniqlo have released a first look at their Fall/Winter 2019 collection campaign. The release will mark the continued collaboration between the Japanese retailer and British fashion house.
While images of the individual pieces have not released yet, the campaign shows a decent amount of clothing. According to Anderson, the collection focuses on British classic design:
“For this latest collection with Uniqlo we really kept to the idea of British classics. There are some elements like tartan fabrics that are instantly recognisable as British, but then unique in that we have remade them to also be Lifewear. I am incredibly proud of this collection”.
From the campaign, we see lots of aquamarine, red, gray and blue tartan prints that have a slight punk rock vibe to them. Scattered throughout the rest of the designs are oversized sweaters, cardigans, jeans, skirts and lots of beanies. Based on the current collaborations available in-store, we can expect the analogous high-quality pieces Uniqlo is known for.
If you were only to get a few pieces from the release, we suggest some tartan scarves and maybe a sweater. But hopefully, the entire collection’s lookbook will come out beforehand so we can all plan what to get.
In the meantime, revisit some of Uniqlo and JW Anderson’s respective previous collections and releases Sex & Dating.
