Virgil Abloh Releases New Handbags Exclusive to MCA Chicago
Take a look here.
While Virgil Abloh‘s “Figures of Speech” exhibition has been extended by a week due to popular demand, the designer has released new Off-White™ Download Our App MCA Chicago. The pieces arrive at the exhibition’s accompanying pop-up store, “Church & State.”
All designs incorporate imagery on the ‘Culture Wall’ in the “Figures of Speech” exhibition space. The “Caravaggio” features a black-and-white print of Caravaggio’s painting The Entombment of Christ, which depicts Nicodemus, Saint John the Evangelist, Mary Magdalene, Mary of Clopas and the Virgin Mary placing Christ’s body in the tomb. Complete with black metal hardware and a binder clip hangtag, the leather flap bag is limited to six pieces only.
The “Caravaggio XL,” limited to three pieces, sports the same painting along with a white strap and zippered white clutch. The “Lines,” a limited edition of six, arrives in white and is accented with orange graphics, accompanied with a cross-body strap sporting a white and orange check pattern and Off-White™ logo. Like the “Caravaggio,” the “Lines XL” is a larger version of the “Lines” flap bag.
Scroll through the gallery above for a full look at the limited edition bags. The “Caravaggio” and “Lines” bags are available for $1,275 USD, and the “Caravaggio XL” and “Lines XL” are priced at $3,445 USD at the “Church & State” pop-up store in MCA Chicago.
