Vintage and Deadstock Pieces Are Repurposed in Lacoste’s SS21 Collection
Nylon windbreakers transform into tennis shorts.
For the Spring/Summer 2021 season, Lacoste‘s creative director Louise Trotter has unveiled a range of items made using deadstock designs from the brand’s archive. Showcased through a lookbook Lacoste Sport GH2136 Короткие штаны Paris, Lacoste taped logo backpack in khaki vintage Lacoste Lot de 3 tee shirt.
Titled “#CrocCouture,” the new lineup marks the French label’s first attempt at marrying haute couture with sportswear. Lacoste’s iconic Croc symbol is spotted throughout the designs, which arrive in the form of jogging pants made with polo shirts, and tennis shorts made with nylon windbreakers. Classic details signature to the brand are seen in never-before-seen transformations, including shortened pleated skirts, Вінтажний светр lacoste sweater vest with asymmetrical and deconstructed collars and hems highlight the range, while a cream sweatshirt is stitched together with a piqué polo shirt.
Limited to 200 pieces globally, the unique “#CrocCouture” items are slated to release exclusively via Lacoste’s website in early December.
