The kicks first made their debut in a short film directed by musician Dev Hynes (aka Blood Orange) that highlights young Black creatives including Hello Yello and the Converse Zapatillas Chuck Taylor All Star 1V Foundation Ox para niña (ICYOLA).
The Chuck 70 arrives in two iterations, which are both accentuated with distorted and non-consecutive lines on the midsoles. Two cow prints adorn one of the shoes, creating a symmetrical effect with brown shades on the medials and black-and-white on the laterals. Brain Dead and Converse’s logos are placed at each side of the heel, as well as sock liner and insoles. The other design boasts a simpler aesthetic, featuring an all-black upper.
Meanwhile, the Bosey MC is a modern version of the footwear label’s Lakestream wading shoe that debuted in the 1940s. The low-cut sneaker is constructed with a mix of mesh and canvas on top of a bold cow print. Converse’s star branding is stitched to the laterals, while contrasting details are found at the black midsoles and collar lining.
