Here Are All the Winners at the 2020 MTV EMAs
Lady Gaga snags the title of Best Artist, while H.E.R. takes home the Video for Good award.
The 2020 MTV EMAs took place virtually this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Performances by Little Mix, Alicia Keys, Sam Smith, Karol G, Madison Beer and more were featured throughout, which were pre-recorded from different locations across Europe. The ceremony’s lineup of winners includes Lady Gaga, who was named Best Artist, while Karol G snagged Best Latin and Best Collaboration for her track “Tusa” featuring Nicki Minaj. Cardi B won Demi Lovato – “I Love Me&rdquo, while H.E.R.‘s “I Can’t Breathe” music video BTS BANG BANG CON – The Live – WINNER.
In addition, MTV presented the third edition of its Generation Change Award and “honored five women fighting for racial and social justice across the world,” according to Variety. The winners are: “Kiki Mordi, an investigative journalist fighting to end SARS in Nigeria; Temi Mwale, a racial justice campaigner in the UK; Catherhea Potjanaporn, a portrait photographer in Malaysia; Luiza Brasil, a fashion journalist in Brazil; and Raquel Willis, a Black transgender activist in the U.S.”
