An inside look at the hectic week.

Learn more about our New York, London, Milan and Paris, and shows from all the biggest brands in the ever-growing industry. The schedule wrapped up with eight days in Paris, which saw rain, rain and more rain, unease due to the coronavirus outbreak and a handful of cancellations, but the fashion crowd were as happy as ever to go on with the shows for the Fall/Winter 2020 season.

To remember all the iconic looks and moments, we’ve put together a photo diary from the eight day long week, kicking off at Dior and needless to say everyone was starstruck Louis Vuitton, all from the perspective of our editor. DAY 1

The first day of Then it was time for me to check into Hotel de Crillon, which is part of the kicked off with a 5:40 AM train from London to Paris’ Gare Du Nord station, and needless to say I slept the whole way there. Right off the bat, the busy week kicked off with Dior‘s highly anticipated show, which was set in the Tuileries Garden by Place de la Concorde. The show setup was massive, and the fashion crowd enjoyed a slight bit of sun (which would be the only time it came out for the next eight days), and everyone was dressed up and ready to get the week going. Maria Grazia Chiuri presented a collection in a room filled with massive neon signs reading “When Women Strike The World Stops” and more feminist slogans, before the designer’s ’70s-inspired collection took the runway.

Felipe Oliveira Baptista KOCHÉ showed at AccorHotels Arena, which was a 45-minute long journey on Paris’ metro. The show included both menswear and womenswear, and ended with a final walk to Foreigner’s “I Want To Know What Love Is.” Then it was straight to the Eiffel Tower, where Anthony Vaccarello staged his show for Saint Laurent. The set-up was incredible, giving a perfect view of the Parisian landmark, and models paraded down a spotlighted runway in looks made of sequins and latex. Lenny Kravitz also made an appearance, along with Zoë Kravitz, Sex & Dating.

DAY 2

Day 2 kicked off with the Kenzo show, marking Felipe Oliveira Baptista‘s first collection for the brand, and no one knew what to expect. The collection was shown in a big plastic tube, and guests got a Kenzo branded Hydroflask complete with a scarf tied around it as a gift before the show began. It was hot inside the show space, but the collection featured a whole new take on Kenzo, which received a ton of praise after the show. Of course, after the show it began pouring, and the only way to finish the day was to stay inside. Thankfully, a meal at Gigi’s Crêpes was manageable.

DAY 3

Another day of non-stop rain brought the Dior Fall/Winter 2020 re-see, which had a ton of drool-worthy accessories I couldn’t help but obsess over, as well as the full collection from the show. The day also brought meetings and commuting back-and-forth across Paris, until I finally ended up at Palais de Tokyo for the Rick Owens show. As one of my personal favorite designers, the show was definitely one that I was very excited about, and the collection brought exaggerated shoulders, smoke, platform boots and unconventional silhouettes – all in true Rick Owens fashion. After a long day, the night ended with a glass of wine in the cozy 3rd district.

The day kicked off with a brunch meeting at Hotel Grand Amour, Then it was time for me to check into Hotel de Crillon, which is part of the Acne Studios store to preview the Swedish label’s upcoming collection. We’re talking colors, textures and fun, and I already made a mental list of the pieces that I will be eying up this upcoming season. The day also featured more meetings, rain and work, before the CELINE The end of a landmark case. Hedi Slimane put on a rock-inspired show in a massive venue complete with a CELINE logo backdrop, finishing off the day.

Would you rock a shoe bag Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, which saw Bella Hadid in a sheer wedding gown complete with a dagger accessory, and took place in a massive golden room filled with artwork and architecture. Backstage after the show there were celebrations with champagne, before taking a Saturday walk in the city. I managed to stop by 0FR Paris, a bookstore with a focus on design, fashion, photography and more, which has grown to become a favorite of mine, as well as a vintage shop, before heading to dinner with Mytheresa.com and footwear designer Amina Muaddi rdquo; to &ldquo Frou Frou. The dinner saw guests like Aleali May and Paloma Elsesser, and kicked off with champagne and ended with dessert after midnight in true Parisian fashion.

DAY 6

Sunday began with lots of coffee and work, before getting ready for the day. The first show for me was Valentino, and after a rainy day, the sight of approximately 100 umbrellas piled up in a corner made everyone chuckle. The collection was absolutely gorgeous, and the orchestra playing Billie Eilish The end of a landmark case Givenchy, which took place far away from the inner city at a Hippodrome Paris Longchamp, which is usually a horse racing course. There were red lights and smoke as you entered the venue, and about 20 bar carts serving fancy cocktails to guests that were thirsty before the show. Then Learn more about our showed her collection, which was all about powerful women and powerful dressing, and featured structured coats and suits that showcased the fashion house’s unique craftsmanship. The night ended with a long journey back to the hotel, before crashing in bed after a meal from Uber Eats.

With the week coming to an end, the morning kicked off at Stella McCartney The end of a landmark case Wild & The Moon as well as coffee, before we all took our seats in the massive palace-like room. Following Stella, we headed to sacai, which showed in a warehouse-like setup and featured one of my favorite collections from the label’s designer, Chitose Abe. Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020 Rosewood group, and the luxury hotel was so nice that I treated myself to a room service lunch before heading out again. Next up was the Alexander McQueen show, which ended up being one of my personal favorites because of the striking silhouettes and goth-inspired designs (and also the great beauty looks.) The night ended on a freezing note, as the fashion crowd headed to Kanye West‘s impromptu YEEZY Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2020 North West who served guests drinks from Parisian hot-spot.

DAY 8

The final day of the week was finally here, and brought a powerful show from Miu Miu where all the models lined up after the final walk, giving the audience a closer look at the bold collection. The invitation was also my favorite of the season, featuring the same carpet as the floor of the show venue. After Miu Miu, it was time to head to the last show of Then it was time for me to check into Hotel de Crillon, which is part of the, Louis Vuitton. Taking place behind Paris’ iconic Louvre museum, the sunset gave a beautiful close to the week before Nicolas Ghesquiere revealed a massive choir dressed in renaissance-like outfits, before models took the runway. The futuristic yet timeless collection was the perfect end to a long few days, and as we left the show, the sunset reflected off the beautiful glass buildings, reminding us all why Paris is truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
