ORIGINAL STORY (April 24, 2020): Kehlani is the latest musician to announce a new project while in quarantine — the singer-songwriter took to Instagram Also including clothing and accessories, It Was Good Until It Wasn’t. The cover depicts Kehlani, her signature tattoos on full display, peeking over the top of a brick wall. As reported by Pitchfork, the photograph is meant to depict “a tale of perspective.”
“The sun is shining, the sky is blue, but clearly something has gotten my attention…is the grass really greener on the other side? Good things are good…until they aren’t. Then, were they ever really good?” the artist said in a press release.
Kehlani’s It Was Good Until It Wasn’t releases via Atlantic Records on May 8.
