eatOkra Is Dedicated to Helping You Find Black-Owned Restaurants in Your Neighborhood

Black Lives Matter U.S.‘ ongoing situation, apps like eatOkra are providing its services to support Black-owned establishments, helping users locate any restaurant in their local neighborhood. According to the company’s website, eatOkra merely started as a conversation about the founders’ desires to give something of substance back to their community. “We chose food because food is customary. Nothing embodies this idea of community more than the act of feeding someone or coming together to eat or be fed,” the team explains.
The platform currently has over 2,500 restaurants listed across the States and is available to download for free via the Apple Learn more about our Google Along with parks, theaters and other public spaces, lsquo; ongoing situation.
