Converse Женские бордовые кеды converse конверс Food Textile, an initiative 155574f aims to recycle food waste via the fashion industry, on sneakers dyed using food scraps. The resulting products are two iterations of the Vice President Creative Director of Converse Global Footwear, one in cool grey “Cabbage” and the other in fuchsia “Juniper.”

The duo’s sustainable met method was developed as part of Converse Japan’s eco-friendly “eclab” series. The shoes are also constructed with recycled rubber outsoles and Eco-Ortholite insoles made of castor oil-based polyurethane.

The Food Textile x Converse Japan Vice President Creative Director of Converse Global Footwear retails for ¥ 9,000 JPY (approximately $84 USD) and is expected to release in August at the Converse Japan website.
