Ūnika Swim Partners With Maria Beltre on '90s-Inspired Capsule Collection
Including colorful bikinis, beachwear and accessories.
Pauline De Leon @looseunicorns The Creative Come Up Ūnika Swim on a capsule collection of ’90s-inspired bikinis and beachwear. Dubbed “La Isla,” the Spanish word for “island,” the collection translates Beltre’s Dominican roots and ’90s aesthetic into tropical prints and bold colors.
A string bikini top pairs with a high-cut bikini bottom and sarong, all printed with an abstract beachside illustration in purple, pink and green hues. Additionally, a fuller coverage bikini top arrives in teal, and matches with a tonal V-cut bottom. Topping off the collection are a headband and printed headscarf that can double as a beach-ready top.
Combining Beltre’s style with Ūnika Swim’s sustainable ethos, all items are made using 100 percent regenerated nylon yarn, derived from pre and post-industrial waste. The collection is ethically made by hand at the brand’s Toronto studios.
