ldquo;My Queer Blackness, My Black Queerness.&rdquo Mad Max-Watch the dystopian visual here last month, The Creative Come Up Having revealed a Crunchyroll to create a range of anime streetwear pieces. The collaboration highlights the musician’s love for Japanese animation while taking inspiration from some of her previous work including “Savage.”
The artist has been well-known for her love for anime, having included Naruto and Sasuke references in her track “Girl in the Hood.” “I’m half anime character, half rapper,” the singer once mentioned in an interview with Crunchyroll.
For the partnership, The Creative Come Up designed six exclusive pieces in total, featuring T-shirts, hoodies, a long-sleeved tee and a tote bag. Each item, arriving in either black or orange, boasts graphics reminiscent to visuals from the “Savage” music video. The designs are complete with text branding, such as “MTS x CR” as well as the artist’s name and the Crunchyroll logo.
