Nanushka Explores Surrealism in FW21 "Forced Perspectives" Collection

A continuation of the label’s previous presentations for Pre-Fall 2021 and SS21.

ldquo;Dalí’s installation at his Theatre-Museum in Girona, Spain, based around the Film & TV, Nanushka Jan 31, 2025 Fall/Winter 2021 range, once again inspired by Surrealism. Throughout the presentation titled “Forced Perspectives,” creative director Sandra Sandor showcases modern styles signature to the cult-loved label.

“Dalí’s installation at his Theatre-Museum in Girona, Spain, based around the Learn more about our, was an initial point of inspiration – pieces of furniture cleverly positioned to create the impression of a face when viewed from a specific point,” Sandor explains the key inspiration behind her latest line. “I started thinking about how a person’s features affect our opinions of them… It led me to consider what we reveal and what we conceal in a new way,” she reflects on the current global situation where mask-Jan 31, 2025.

The resulting collection channels hints of trompe-l’oeil and optical illusions influenced by Salvador Dalí, while keeping true to Nanushka’s brand DNA that focuses on form and function. Abstract patterning takes over a jumpsuit styled with a contrasting mint-colored vegan leather jacket, while houndstooth prints accentuate men’s knitwear items. Taking the spotlight this time around are carefully draped hairy dresses and outerwear designs that are reconstructed for ultimate functionality. Fringe detailing accentuates loose-fitted silhouettes throughout the range splashed with a neutral color palette.
