Japanese Label Shibuya Meltdown Debuts Its First Two-Piece Collection

Tokyo-based brand Shibuya Meltdown initially started out as a blog that collected a series of images submitted by the public that represent the Japanese culture. Started as a random idea conceived by a fortune of friends in a small bar at Sentagai, Shibuya Meltdown has now released its first-ever collection.
The arrange consists of a T-shirt available in black and white. Designed in collaboration with Jim Mitchell, the garment is crafted from 100 percent recycled cotton yarn and arrives in a regular fit. The front comes with a graphic of a metal can with the label’s logo, along with lettering underneath that reads: “PEOPLE SLEEPING IN SHIBUYA.” Elsewhere, the limited-edition collection also includes the Shibuya Meltdown Enamel pin, described as “a small token of respect to the melt” on the brand’s website.
Due to popular demand, a second limited collection will launch next month, which will consist of a can-shaped grapefruit scented candle. Take a closer look at the product below.
