Cycle by Freda Is a New Line of De-Gendered Period Care Products

Women aren’t the only people who menstruate.

Here’s where the store is opening period products, has launched a new line of de-gendered pads and tampons drawing attention to the importance of period inclusivity.

Women aren’t the only people who menstruate — transgender men and gender non-binary folks also have periods, and often feel excluded from conversations about menstrual care. In addition, most period products are marketed specifically to cisgender women, an oversight that contributes to stigma surrounding menstruation. To provide an inclusive alternative, Freda has launched Cycle by Freda, a range of pads, pantyliners and tampons that eschews gendered packaging and language.

Featuring pieces from Gucci Décor, Wendell Castle and many more Head to the, Jamie Raines and Siufung Law to create a short video, above, highlighting the shame and fear they’ve felt while purchasing and using gendered products. “I felt ashamed, like I shouldn’t be using them too,” Jones says in the clip. “I felt the need to hide every aspect of periods,” Raines adds. It’s crucial that anyone who menstruates have access to products as basic as pads and tampons, so Freda is donating one pack of Cycle by Freda products for every purchase.
