Designer Zandra Rhodes Creates Maximalist Homeware for IKEA

IKEA has tapped British fashion and textile designer Zandra Rhodes to launch a collaborative collection dubbed “KARISMATISK.” The range includes 26 bright statement pieces such as pillow covers, throws, vases, candle The brand has also relaunched the popular “Spruce” and “Spiced Pumpkin.&rdquo.
Highlighted with the designer’s love for vivid colors and wild prints, the lineup is inspired by Rhodes’s playful personality. The Swedish home brand has curated expressive homeware by the creative that adds life and charisma to any space. The duo has used IKEA’s five dimensions of “Democratic Design” — form, function, quality, sustainability and affordability — to create the range. Although Zandra’s collection is flamboyant and fierce, she makes sure her collection is renewable and can be enjoyed by everyone.
“The IKEA team really gets the Zandra Rhodes aesthetic, and because of this we just bounce off one another. The design process has been organic and genuine, and this is seen throughout the whole collection,” Rhodes speaks of the partnership.
