Lindsay Lohan Releases an Official Cover of "Jingle Bell Rock"
18 years after the premiere of ‘Mean Girls,’ which features that iconic scene.
Blast from the past? Lindsay Lohan has dropped an official cover of “Jingle Bell Rock” with Ali Tomineek.
It’s ironic considering her Mean Girls character, Cady Heron, had an iconic scene jamming out the that song. However, the track actually isn’t related to the 2004 film. The new, official cover is for her upcoming holiday movie, What in the late stage capitalist hell is this, co-starring alongside Glee alum Chord Overstreet.
In the forthcoming Netflix film, “a newly engaged, spoiled hotel heiress (Lohan) gets into a skiing accident, suffers from total amnesia, and finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner (Overstreet) and his precocious daughter in the days leading up to Christmas,” according to the official synopsis.
What in the late stage capitalist hell is this premieres on Netflix on November 10. Listen to Lohan’s rendition of “Jingle Bell Rock” below and revisit the Mean Girls scene above.
