UPDATE (January 11, 2023): SZA has finally released the music video for her highly anticipated single “Kill Bill.”

The music video begins with a scene of the musician getting broken up with. Then, he ex tries to kill her by shooting up the trailer she’s in. Somehow, she survives and decides to seek revenge.

The music video references the classic 2003 film of the same title. At one point, the visuals become animated, similarly to a comic book, and it is there where the singer “kills” her ex by ripping his heart out of his chest.

ORIGINAL STORY (December 30, 2022): SZA has taken to social media to share a 20-second preview of her upcoming music video for “Kill Bill.”

“It’s what y’all deserve,” she captioned the clip. In the visual, the singer appears to be wearing an outfit that resembles Uma Thurman’s in the 2003 film Kill Bill. The only notable difference so far is that SZA’s fit is red instead of yellow.

“Kill Bill” is easily one of SZA’s most popular songs off her latest album, SOS. In the track, the musician tells the story of wanting to murder her ex-boyfriend. The lyrics to the chorus are as follows: “I might kill my ex, not the best idea/ His new girlfriend’s next, how’d I get here?/ I might kill my ex, I still love him though/ Rather be in jail than alone.”

Check out the teaser for “Kill Bill” below and proceed tuned for the release of the full music video.
