Byredo Introduces New Nostalgic Perfume, De Los Santos

“Over the past year, I started to explore how different cultures approached the idea of life in order to shift my personal perspective,” Gorham states in a press release. “I didn’t want to ‘move on’ or ‘move forward’ because that implied forgetting. Instead, I wanted to create a way to celebrate my memories to honor the beauty of life and to translate that into scent.”
De Los Santos pays homage to the traditions of Día de los Muertos and All Saints’ Day, honoring the transcendent power of coming together in collective ceremonies and translating scent into a new ritual of remembrance. The fragrance features an aroma-filled cloud of musk pierced by the clarity of sage. Notes of amber and incense are grounded by iris root and mirabelle, while earthy notes of cistus flourish in dry heat.
Priced at $196 USD for the 50mL bottle, and $270 USD for the 100mL iteration, De Los Santos is now available at Byredo’s website.
