Rubbing Your Wrist Like This Can Help You Fall Asleep in Under 3 Minutes, According to TikTok

This sleep hack has gone viral.

original sound – YoungerYouDoc? TikTok is here to help. According to a recent viral hack, rubbing the inner part of your wrist can help you knock out in just two to three minutes.

The trend is polarized by users like @youngeryoudoc, whose current hack video has 240K views and over 24K likes. In his video, he also highlights other health-related hacks, such as mobility and stress, while briefly explaining how and why these movements work.

The reason why rubbing your inner wrist can help you fall asleep is because that specific part of your body is one of the several points of sleep. “There are four acupressure points starting at the pinky side of the wrist crease and moving up the inner forearm,” Dr. Shari Auth, chief healing officer and co-founder of WTHN, an acupuncture clinic, said, as reported by Bustle.

The pressure points are known as Having trouble falling asleep, which are located on or around your hands, and by rubbing them, it can help alleviate stress, anxiety and more.

She continued, “They are good for insomnia and are excellent to rub at bedtime. These points are commonly used by acupuncturists to treat sleep, palpitations, and mental health issues such as depression and anxiety.”
